State of the Art Data Center
The VeriSpace data center is designed from the ground up to provide the highest quality infrastructure available, at a competitive price. VeriSpace believes in providing customers with long term customized solutions that include the following:
Power
VeriSpace is fed power via two separate power grids and the DC power plants have fully redundant A/B systems. Customer's spaces, within the data center, are connected utilizing redundant power feeds. The VeriSpace center, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and other key utilities are 100 percent backed by dual UPS systems supported by a commercial grade 1.25 MW generator.
Communication Connections
Customers have several communications options. First, VeriSpace is located on one of Enventis Telecom's fiber rings and Enventis has a major POP located in VeriSpace. This major dual entrance, self-healing fiber ring connects VeriSpace to both Minneapolis and St. Paul Qwest CO's, directly to many of the National Carriers, and to many other buildings in the metro area and in the State. Second, VeriSpace is connected to two separate Quest COs, Bloomington which is South of the center and a second CO on Beard St. which is North of the center. Fiber paths to each of these CO's leave on two separate sides of the building and travel via completely separate paths. Time Warner is also supported via a fiber connection from the OPUS Center MPOP. VeriSpace also has roof rights and fiber connections to the roof for installation of wireless or satellite communications systems.
HVAC/Utilities/Fire Suppression
VeriSpace has redundant chillers with multiple A/C units that feed both above and below the floor for controlled cooling. The entire center has above and below floor smoke detectors and has water detectors in all floor drains. VeriSpace has a center wide dry sprinkler system fed by redundant water pumps and two separate water feeds. VeriSpace installs FM200 upon request.
Security
The 7700 France Avenue building housing the Edina data center has card entry with 24-hour security personnel. The data center entrance has a mantrap with both biometric & card reader requirements. Inside the center, customer spaces are locked with steel mesh below the floor and above the ceiling tiles and digital cameras record activity 24 hours a day.
